    We held an event to raise awareness of Self Care Week and the importance of self-care and the self-management of health conditions. The event included four separate workshops focussing on particular self care issues: diabetes, eye care, respiratory diseases and mental health.

    The purpose of this Enter & View visit was to engage with patients and staff about their experience of Green Parks House and to gather their views. This included how involved people feel in planning their care, the ward environment, relationships between staff and patients and whether people feel safe.

    We set out to speak to gain a wider understanding and appreciation of the young people of Bromley’s attitude toward mental health and in the hope that it would raise awareness around the services that are available. A total of 350 young people aged 10-17 took part in our engagement.

    Our annual report includes how we have engaged and supported people over the year. We heard from 1,883 people this year about their experiences of health and social care. We engaged with and supported approximately 2,511 people during the COVID-19 pandemic this year. We worked on and produced 11 projects and reports about the improvements people would like to see to health and social care services.

    Loneliness is an issue that has affected many people during the past 15 months. There has been a consistent level of reported loneliness in England before the pandemic and the Government’s Community Life Survey has reported that 6% of all adults aged 16+ in England feel lonely often or always.
