Doctors are striking from Wednesday 20th to Saturday 23rd December, and again from Wednesday 3rd to Tuesday 9th January.
There also two bank holidays coming up and this is a time of year when hospitals are always very busy.

Please help us to help you:
- Bank Holidays can affect the opening hours of local pharmacies. If you need pharmacy service over the bank holiday, please plan ahead if you can. See a guide to the opening hours for pharmacies.
- Only go to the Emergency Department (A&E) or call 999 for a life-threatening emergency or serious injury
- If you are unwell, contact your GP
- Outside GP hours, go to NHS 111 online
- For a mental health emergency go to NHS 111 online
- And you can also visit your local pharmacy for expert advice and medicines.
