This means that our hospitals will be under a lot of pressure again. This weekend is also a bank holiday weekend.

Please help us by sharing this message widely.

If you, or the people you support, need help from the NHS, please:

  • Plan ahead, if possible, if you need pharmacy service over the bank holiday. 
  • Bank Holidays can affect the opening hours of local pharmacies. If you need pharmacy service over the bank holiday, please plan ahead if you can. See our guide to the opening hours for pharmacies here.
  • Only go to the Emergency Department (A&E) or call 999 for a life-threatening emergency or serious injury
  • If you are unwell, contact your GP
  • Outside GP hours, go to NHS 111 online
  • For a mental health emergency go to NHS 111 online
  • And you can also visit your local pharmacy for expert advice and medicines.
