Maternal Mental Health Matters Survey
Pregnancy is a major life event for any family. It can be joyful and fulfilling but also challenging. If you have been pregnant in the last two years, we want to hear how the NHS supported your mental health: “How are you?” Just three words can make a huge difference, but we know the mental health of new mums is often forgotten. If you’ve had a baby in the last two years, we want to hear from you: Being pregnant and giving birth during the pandemic was for many an isolating or difficult experience.
We want to know how this impacted your mental health and whether you got any support for how you were feeling: Calling all new mums in England! Did you have your six-week postnatal mental health check? Whatever your answer, we want to know. Tell us more about how your mental health has been supported by the NHS in our short survey: Did you need support for your mental health when you were pregnant or after you gave birth? We want to hear how the NHS supported you and if you got help you needed: One in four women experience perinatal mental health problems during pregnancy and in the first year following the birth of child.
